Description Westwind

Since then, many companies have wanted to book Westwind for private flights, including thanks to the modernized cabin. Its capacity has been increased to ten passengers. The equipment on board the aircraft made it possible to hold business and VIP meetings.

Westwind (full name Model 1124 Westwind) was the next modification of the IAI-1123 aircraft. On July 21, 1971, the first aircraft of this series took off. The aircraft differed from its predecessor by a new power plant based on two turbofan engines manufactured by Garrett AiResearch TFE731 -З-1G, which allowed for economical fuel consumption. This was a hot innovation and many businessmen decided to lease Westwind. Also, such aircraft components as landing gear, wing, avionics and onboard systems were improved. The takeoff weight of the aircraft increased to 10,660 kg, and the flight range increased by 55%. Since the release of this model, a total of 55 aircraft have been sold.
