Aircraft type

The larger the aircraft, the more expensive is its purchase price (from 1 million to 85 million euros) and the more expensive the renting cost of such an aircraft. The cost of an hour of rent/flight of a business jet starts from €1,500 and goes up to €14,000 (the price directly depends on the type of aircraft). A light 5 seat Cessna CJ business jet will cost several times less than renting a large business jet with 13 seats Embraer Legacy 650 or a 16-seat and long-range Gulfstream 650ER or Global 7500.

Flight route

The more flight hours, the more profitable the price of an hour, since the airline is more interested in advantageous long flights rather than short ones. Short flights can cost the same as longer flights. Moreover, each additional landing on the route increases the final cost. The renting price of a private jet one way is always cheaper than renting a round trip, as the operator or aviation broker will be able to sell the flight back to the base and thereby reduce the cost of a one way flight for the first client. Also here it is worth considering the cost of airport services. Geneva, Nice, Moscow Vnukovo-3, London, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Zurich are considered expensive airports and flights to such cities usually cost more than a flight to a neighboring city/airport.

Number of passengers

For each passenger in business aviation, the use of a VIP terminal and VIP catering is required. A simple example: Flight Moscow-Nice, each extra passenger, additionally to the renting cost, will cost about 500 euros. What is included in these 500 euros per passenger: 300€ is the price of the Vnukovo-3 VIP terminal, then we add the Nice VIP terminal - 50€ and another 150€ for VIP catering from your favorite restaurant. Total: 500€ - the cost of one passenger on an international route. It is considered that the cost of 1 a passenger for a one-way flight within Russia or an international flight is 500 €, and for a round-trip flight is 1000 € per passenger.

Number of parking days

A flight with one day of aircraft parking will cost less than a flight with 2 or more days of parking. The bigger the downtime of the aircraft, the more expensive the total cost of the flight will be. Usually 1 extra day will add 1000€-3000€ to the cost of renting an aircraft, depending on the type of aircraft and the cost of parking at the airport. Aircraft downtime for more than 4-7 days is not beneficial for the airline and most likely the airline will offer 2 return flights, instead of one flight with parking.
