Business Jet Pilatus PC 12/45

This Pilatus PC-12 is the largest of the single-engine turboprop aircraft.

The PC-12/45 was certified in 1996 and was produced until 2005, with 585 platforms produced according to JETNET. This secured a number of clients such as PlaneSense Inc., a New Hampshire-based US equity company.

RS-12 of the first generation is distinguished by the shape of the endings. Although the prototypes did not have them, the production version has either small winglets perpendicular to the wings or large winglets at an angle of about 45 degrees. Both types of winglets were standard, the choice was up to the buyer. PK-12 and PK-12/45 differ only in maximum takeoff weight, 4100 kg or 4500 kg.

Blackhawk Aerospace offers the XP67P engine upgrade for these models. In the upgrade, the company replaces the original PT6A-67B with the PT6A-67P, which comes standard with the PC-12/47E. Outwardly, we do not see any differences, this is the same bow as in all RS-12s.

The PC-12 was the company's breakthrough in the business aviation market, providing a combination of a spacious cabin for up to 11 passengers, low operating costs, first-class flight performance and the ability to operate on grass and other unpaved surfaces.

Due to its versatility, the PC-12 has become popular in a number of roles such as business travel, passenger and cargo transportation, air ambulance and special missions. Operators include the Royal Australian Flying Doctor Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Since entering the market in 1994, more than 1,800 aircraft have been sold.

The successor, the RS-12/47, again increased the takeoff weight and introduced a number of other improvements.

The Pilatus PC-12/45 costs between $2.55 million for a 2004 model and $2.65 million for a 2005 model, according to Aircraft Bluebook. These values represent an average retail price, however the selling price of an individual production model can vary significantly, even from other models in the same year of production, and ultimately depends on factors such as service conditions, airframe and engine time, and more.
