What to do if your private jet breaks down and your business jet is canceled?

There are situations when you have already arrived at the VIP terminal and passed passport control or are even already in the cabin of a business jet, but suddenly your broker or the captain of the aircraft announces that for technical reasons the aircraft cannot perform the flight. Unfortunately, this happens, and not a single plane is immune from this. In 95% of cases, the breakdown occurs on the ground during the pre-flight check of the aircraft, and not in the air.

What to do if a private jet breaks down?

1) Prompt elimination of a technical problem.

If the plane cannot fly for technical reasons (in English AOG - aircraft on ground), then the professional and responsible broker who organized the flight for you, in an expeditious manner, together with the airline, MUST work out all possible options for aircraft repair.

2) Searching for a new aircraft to fly.

If it is impossible to quickly solve a technical problem, the airline will most often provide an aircraft replacement on board with at least a class from its fleet. If this is not possible, then the airline and the broker are jointly looking for other aircraft of at least a lower class for the flight. The price of a replacement aircraft may
be higher than what was provided initially and here it already depends on the broker and the airline whether they will bear all the additional costs for organizing a new flight. (if the airline and the broker value their reputation, as we do, they will definitely pick up another plane for the flight)
